Dr. Rodolfo Manuel Vega holds a doctorate in International Comparative Development Education. His research employs qualitative and ethnographic methods to advance AI systems, safeguard human subjects, and promote AI ethics in both academic and industrial settings.

At Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technologies Institute, Dr. Vega has contributed to computational linguistics and multilingual semantic analysis. He has participated in several landmark research projects, including:

• JANUS (1994–1999): A real-time automatic speech translation project supporting communication in English, German, and Japanese. It integrated speech recognition, translation, and synthesis, laying foundations for modern multilingual voice assistants.
• AVENUE (2000–2006): (Affordable, Versatile, and Efficient Natural Language Understanding for Education).Focused on accessible translation for resource-poor languages such as Mapudungun, and Quechua, supporting bilingual education through machine learning and computational linguistic innovation.
